St Patricks Parade and More!

Tillie getting a boost on Grandpa's shoulders so she could see better. She got a lot of bead necklaces! Way to go Tillie. Most people were handing out necklaces at the parade instead of candy. It was nice. Grandpa, Grandma, Alena and I (Mommy) all had a great time at the parade. It was over a hour long. We are looking forward to our next parade!Mommy and Tillie watching the parade. She liked Mommy to sit in the street with her so she could sit on her knee. What a beautiful day! We were so glad to see the sun come out about 20 minutes before the parade started. Towards then end Tillie finally started to wave at people.Tillie had so much fun at the parade and didn't want to nap in the morning like cousin Alena did that she fell asleep on the walk back to the car! What a sweet girl. I love her so much.

Daddy was pushing Tillie around on her horse. She was also sporting her Cubs hat that he bought her when she was only a few months old! She looks so cute in it. She love her horse but doesn't quite understand that if she moves her feet it will go. I guess it is more fun to have Daddy help!

Colorado

A Cahalan tradition is to put money, a loaf of bread and a book in a row and see which one the child goes to. Tillie went to the money and so that means that she will not be without money in her life.
Mommy and Tillie in front of the Vail house. She was sitting in the snow before this picture. She had a great time.
Tillie and Daddy sitting in the snow.
Tillie and Grandpa Cahalan at Beaver Creek village after lunch.
Tillie got to dig into another cake for her birthday. She likes cake! Thank you Aunt Renee and Uncle Nick.

We went on a trip to Colorado this past month. We had a great time and look forward to going back in the spring for Ryan and Martha wedding! Tillie had a great time and looks forward to when she is big enough to ski! May her height help her balance. Andrew learned how to snowboard this year and had a great time on the slopes with his brothers and sister-in-laws! Hopefully I will get out there some day soon.

Tillie talking on the phone.

Tillie likes to talk on the phone. Here she is going to town. I still don't know who she was talking to, but it was very important by the sound of things.

I can't get the video to load. Sorry, I will try again later.

Bundled up.

Tillie is trying out her sled. She went up to visit our neighbor Kelly. She had fun. It was her first time.

Food!!!!!!

Tillie is a very busy girl as many of you know. She is into everything, always going no matter if she has had a nap or not. She love to yell and clap and run around the house. Her favorite thing to do is to play with Olie. He is her best friend and she will always find one if his toys and take it to him or throw it for him. He plays really well with her too.

The other day, I was making a list and Tillie was watching Baby Einstein and she was actually quiet. I didn't think much of it. I went to see that she was still sitting in the spot where I left her and she wasn't! She was sitting by her diaper bag and found a container of food that was open from her lunch. She opened it with her teeth as usual and helped herself with her hands. Here are some pictures of the event. I don't think she will be feeding herself any time soon!

As a result, Tillie needed a bath and Alena was here too so she wanted in on the fun.

What is stuck to your foot?

Is there something stuck to your foot?
Tillie loves to unroll the the toilet paper. This day she didn't realize it was stuck on her foot. It was cute. There have been numerous times that we have used toilet paper that was folded on the counter instead of on the roll!

What a big little girl!

Tillie had her 1 year check-up on Monday. She went from the 10% in height to the 3%. She is in the 34% for weight. She is our big little girl. This explains why she is still wearing 6-9 month size clothes and have tiny feet. She is as tall as most 6 month olds! We love her so much; every inch of her.

Tillie is 1!

Tillie really liked her cake and she was on a sugar high the rest of the day and never had a morning nap!
She love her pots and pans and love to bang them together since the make such great noise. She also has been cooking in them in her new kitchen. I don't know what she has make but she will put her fork in the pan and then in her mouth so she is making something good to eat.
What is it? Tillie had fun and did a great job at opening her presents.
Time to read the card. It makes music too!!!!
What a ham. She stood in front of her present for pictures and looked at everyone waiting for them to take a picture.

We had a great party for Tillie on her birthday. All of the family came and our great neighbors Nick and Kelly and Tillie's Aunt Amy too! Tillie is a lucky girl and gets to have a second party in Vail, CO with the Cahalan family. That will be a great time as well. Here are some pictures from the fun fun day.

December with the Cahalans!

Tillie loved Grandma Cahalan's dancing penguin and snowman! She loved to dance along with them. Christmas was fun in MC. All the kids had a great time and a great Christmas! Of course Santa came. Tillie had Mommy up two night in a row from about 3am til 6 am. We don't know why, but we took advantage of it the second night and decided to make banana bread. What the heck right!
Tillie joined Mommy and Grandpa for our annual Christmas Eve shopping trip to the mall. Due to travel plans we went the Monday before Christmas. It was a lot of fun and Tillie loved the piano in Von Maur. The lady playing was nice too and had a good time with Tillie. She had fun pushing her stroller.
Her she is in a store trapped behind the glass! She couldn't figure out how to go around! Grandpa helped her.
Tillie and Grandpa making a wish. Hope it was a good one. She wanted to take a dip in it after her wish, but Grandpa wouldn't let her.
Tillie wanted to sport a cute outfit for the Christmas program at church. She finally got winter boots and so we paired them with a mini skirt and hot pink tights and shirt. She looked so cute! She will be 16 before I know it.
Nice hair after bathtime!
What a proud girl with her decorated gingerbread tree! You did a good job Tillie!

Update of the last 4 months!

Merry Christmas!!!!!!

Ready for Christmas! We took pictures of Tillie for our Christmas cards. It was quite a task as she was getting tired and it was late at night, but we managed to get some cute pictures! She is walking now and working on some new "words". Not really words as they apply to everything, but it is cute! Watching her walk is really fun too because she is so petite. Grandpa Jensen says that she walked early due to her LCG (low center of gravity), but Mommy and Daddy says that it is because she has always liked to stand even when she was 4 months old! We hope you have a Merry Christmas! We will be uploading some picutres of Tillie's First Christmas. I am sorry that we haven't updated her blog for 4 MONTHS! I didn't know anyone was following it anymore so I stopped, but now that I am aware people are I will do much better and try for onc or twice a week! Thank you for following Tillie!

Tillie was a lucky girl and Mommy and Daddy decided that it would be ok for her to try a thin mint girl scout cookie. She only got a few bites before Mommy at the rest. A little girl can only have so much sugar. She really liked it and I guess we will have to order more cookies this year.

Tillie had a great first Halloween! She was a strawberry and a very cute one at that! Nobody tried to eat her thank goodness! She got a lot of goodies to eat, even though she couldn't. Great Grandma was prepared for a visit from the strawberry and had a bag of baby cookies ready for her! What a good Grandma! Many other were prepared as well. What a lucky little strawberry! Hope you all had a great Halloween too!

Here is Tillie trying on her new hat and mittens that Tracy made her. Mommy couldn't find a hat to match her coat so Tracy was nice enough to make one for Tillie! It is so cute and the mittens are adorable! Getting ready for winter early since we are still wearing shorts!

Pulling herself up!

Since Tillie has mastered crawling around, she has started to put herself up! Nothing is safe now. Must do more baby proofing.

On the move.

Tillie is all over the house now! Watch out.
When Tillie crawls, she likes to stick her tongue out and make a funny noise that I know I can't describe right. It is like she is sucking air in. Very cute.

Tillie puzzle

Tillie has a stool with her name in it in a puzzle. We recently got it out for her to play with. She loves to take the pieces and bang them against each other or on the stool. She does like to chew on the pieces too. It ok for her to do until she gets more pieces. Hopefully she will learn how to put the pieces back in and how to spell her name too. Our goal is next month.

Can you even reach the handles?

Tillie and cousin Emily on a 4 wheeler. I think that Tillie would like to drive, but I don't think that she can even reach the handle bars to steer. That won't work! Maybe in a few more years Tillie.

Great Grandma Norma's 80th Birthday Party!

Tillie is in her travel highchair. I just love this picture. As you can tell we always have to have pacifier still.

Tillie had a few screaming fits at the party so Grandpa took her for a walk. Everyone enjoyed hearing her, but I am sure that a few might need hearing aids now! It was a great party and I hope that Norma had a great birthday. We all had a fun weekend in Mason City with the Cahalan Clan. We all managed to fit into Grandma and Grandpa's house too! We look forward to Chirstmas!

Tillie was very tired on Sunday from the busy weekend. Doesn't she look peaceful?

Crawling on the couch.

Tillie is crawling on the couch. Not where she is supposed to be crawling Daddy! It makes Mommy nervous. She is on the move now. She has the hand and the feet going together finally but still doesn't go very fast. She will before we know it.

Yummy in my tummy.

Tillie is enjoying some puffs and yogurt bites. She prefers the yogurt bites though.
